About our products
Mostly of our items are handcrafted in our studio. And occasionally we produce limited editions in small ateliers nearby.
Materials:
The Paper Collection is made out of a unique material which looks like paper or leather, depends on how you treat it. This material consists of a paper-plastic mixture (cellulose and latex) and can be washed in the washing machine. It is cruelty free. The material contains no pentachlorophenol, PVC or BPA and is neither harmful to the environment nor to health.
This material is absolutely tear-resistant. Its surface is abrasion resistant and does not form lint or nodules. It is made in Germany and It is accredited by Oeko-Tex, which tests for harmful substances.
Composition consists of more than 60% cellulose. The remaining ingredients are color pigments and latex. The cellulose is obtained from trees from northern European, sustainably managed forests (mostly spruces).
As you can see in the descriptive images, this material is not uniform nor has plain colours. It may has some "imperfections" which adds to our items some texture and a plus of beauty.
Other materials and providers:
The printed collections are painted by hand with water-based textile markers and paintings. To place the lining, we use solvent-free contact glue.
We buy all the materials related to our production within the EU. Most of our suppliers are from Spain and Germany.
Our commitment is to be as sustainable as possible with all the materials, fabrics, products we use and of course people we work with. Always learning and improving about this matters.
Care:
This paper-based material is washable at 60º. However, we do not recommend to wash your bag or wallet in machine wash or fully soaked in water, because we want to keep the original shape as long as possible. Plus, we use a strong contact glue to apply the lining, which is not compatible with machine wash.
The best way you can clean up your bag or wallet is with a cotton cloth, clean and a little bit wet. Then, gently apply it and clean over the surface of the piece.
This is a high resistant paper-based material, but of course its lasting depends on the use you make of the item. In order to this, we recommend also, not to overcharge your bag or wallet. It is always better if you can easily close it.
Please, notice that by friction with darker clothes and fabrics, this material in the lighter tones, may get some colour by transfer that would not be possible to remove completely.
